Group Therapy Associates offers an array of confidential therapy options for adolescents, adults, couples and families.  One of
our primary specialties is group therapy but we are happy to provide a wide range of services to meet the many needs of our
community.  Please see below for more specific information on all of these services.  For general information visit our
FAQ
page or About Us to learn more about our therapists.

Our Groups & Workshops
One of our primary specialties is Group Therapy.  Below is a list of available groups, please click on the group name for a
general description and registration information. You can enroll in group by visiting our Appointments Page  or using the
"schedule appointment" button located above.  Not sure group is for you?  Our
Workshops are an excellent way to learn more
about specific topics and become familiar with our services.  Most workshops are two hours long and will provide you with an
introduction to the concepts and skills presented in our groups.  We are continually updating our workshop schedule and
encourage you to contact us if there is a specific topic you would like us to present.

Individual & Couples Therapy
We specialize in working with adolescents and couples and realize that a group setting may not always be the right therapeutic
choice for every client or situation.  With that in mind we offer
Couples Therapy in a non-group setting to address relationship
and marital concerns.  We also offer
Individual and Family Therapy for ages 11 and up.  Appointments for individual and
couples counseling are available during day and evening hours Monday - Saturday and typically last 50 minutes.  We also offer
80-minute sessions for clients who are interested.  Please contact us for more information or you may book your appointment
online using the "schedule appointment" button located above.

Consultations and Assessments
Consultations are initial interviews with a therapist.  During a consultation, your therapist will listen and ask questions to
better understand the specific issues that led you to consider therapy. Your therapist will also conduct a cursory exploration of
your relationships, work/school performance, and social life in an effort to help you understand how therapy might help your
situation.  At the conclusion of this process your therapist will share their evaluation and offer suggestions for future treatment,
to include if Group Therapy Associates is a good fit. If you are seeking a formal written summary, including detailed treatment
recommendations, please schedule a two-hour assessment (see description below).

We also offer
Phone Consultations.  This service is twenty minutes long and can be done over the phone at your convenience.
In the 20-minute consultation, your therapist will focus solely on the presenting issue and provide you with general suggestions
for future treatment and self-care.  This service is best suited for those who are trying to decide on which mode of therapy is
right for them (individual, family or group therapy) or have some experience with therapy in the past.  Phone appointments
must be paid in advance online. Please use the links below to schedule and pay for your phone consultation.

Assessments are in-depth, 2-hour therapeutic interviews. They are designed to determine individual and family functioning.
They include all of the components of a consultation and more. During the assessment your therapist will examine various areas
of your life in an effort to understand the presenting issues from a biological, psychological and social perspective.  It does not
include a battery of psychological or educational tests. Assessments do include a formal, written summary of your overall
well-being and functioning, and offers specific treatment and self-care recommendations.

 * Please Note: We do not conduct psychological evaluations, educational evaluations, forensic evaluations, or court-
 ordered custody evaluations.
